I'm wondering what computer programs people use to make home-made recordings. Are there any good inexpensive ones that use a simple analouge-style interface anyone couple recommend?

Most people unwilling to either pay for or pirate software tend to use Audacity, which is terrible, but free.

Just pirate Cubase or Adobe Audition. If you can get a DigiDesign or M-Audio interface for cheap you could use ProTools too.

All software is free on the internet. Keep that in mind.

Thanks, I'll check those out to. Acid pro's pretty good buut has a tendency to freeze up, probably my computer's fault. Biggest problem's the lag when recording over another track.
